Pasta

  • 1. What types of pasta do you offer?

    Our range includes short-cut pasta, long-cut pasta and stuffed pasta.


    Noodles are also included.


    Available in the range are options for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and wholegrain dietary requirements.


    Pasta is Al Dente, pre-cooked and deep-frozen. 

  • 2. What are the benefits of pre-cooked fresh frozen pasta compared to dry pasta?

    There are multiple benefits of pre-cooked fresh frozen pasta, with some being as follows:

    • Various heating methods to suit the convenience of your kitchen set up
    • IQF and al dente 
    • Easy for portioning purposes allowing a fixed cost 
    • Little preperation required, along with fewer steps and people involved, bringing savings on utility consumption and labour
    • Long frozen shelf life of 18 months
    • Non-stick - even after reheating

    Compared to using dry pasta - just think how much time, energy and effort you can save! Also the better quality of a product.

  • 3. How should the pasta be prepared?

    The preperation of our pasta depends on the product. All products should be cooked from frozen.


    For short cut and organic pasta:

    • 30 seconds in boiling (95°C) lightly salted water.
    • 4 minutes in combi steamer (100°C steam).
    • Straight into a wok dish.
    • Straight into a sauce, reheat over low heat.

    For long cut pasta and noodles:

    • 75 seconds in boiling (95°C) lightly salted water.
    • 4 minutes in combi steamer (100°C steam).
    • Straight into a wok dish.
    • Straight into a sauce, reheat over low heat.

    For small stuffed pasta:

    • 3 to 5 minutes in boiling (95°C), lightly salted water (depending on piece weight).
    • combi steamer: 4 to 8 minutes (100°C steam), depending on the piece weight.

    For large stuffed pasta:

    • 5 minutes in boiling (95°C), lightly salted water.
    • 8 to 9 minutes in combi steamer (100°C steam).
  • 4. What packaging size does the product come in?

    Our pasta ranges in packaging as per below:


    Short and Long Cut pasta are available in 2kg bags, 2,5kg bags (with 4 in a box) or 5kg bags (1 in a box).


    Stuffed pasta is available in 750g portions (with 4 in a box), 1kg portions (with 5 in a box), 3kg portions (with 1 in a box) or 2.5kg portions (with 4 in a box).

    All of our sauces are produced in our factory in Belgium, to a set recipe, with a unique secret ingredient.

  • 3. How should the sauces be prepared?

    Thanks to the packaging our ambient sauces are in, there are multiple options for heating:

    1. in the Microwave (90 seconds approx. at 900W)
    2. in a Steamer (12 min approx. at 100° C)
    3. in Boiling water (leave for approx 15 mins)
    4. stiring in a saucepan over a medium heat

    Once heated, keep at temperature for use in a Bain-Marie.


    Sauces can be used in cold dishes too.


    Sauce can be heated in its packaging - heat friendly!

  • 4. What packaging size does the product come in?

    Our sauces come in 1kg doypacks (with 6 in a box) or in 150g packs.


    Once opened, the sauce should be kept at 4° C. They can be used for 3 days.


Meals and Portion Packs

  • 1. What types of meals and portion packs do you offer?

    Our range of meal dishes covers four classics; risotto, paella, tabbouleh and mac & cheese.


    Portion packs are available for various pastas, noodles and rice - with a special glutenfree pasta option too.

  • 2. What are the benefits of ready made dishes and portion packs?

    Portion packs and ready made dishes bring simplicity, ease and convenience. 


    The products are ready to eat following simple heating up.


    Portioning is simple allowing little to no waste. 

  • 3. How should the products be prepared?

    Products come frozen.


    Our pasta and rice steam pouches take just 60 - 120 seconds in a microwave (depending on power). You can also use a pasta cooker!


    For ready meal dishes:


    Paella

    • Cook in a wok or pan with a dash of oil, heating with regular stirring for approx. 8 minutes

    Tabbouleh

    • Microwave for approx. 3 minutes per 300g portion, stir, then heat for another 2 minutes
    • Heat in a pan with a dash of oil, regularly stirring whilst over a medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes
    • Cool down for 2 hours once heated to enjoy the dish cold

    Mac & Cheese

    • Heat a 500g portion in a pan with two tablespoons of milk, stir fry over a medium heat for 5 to 6 mintues, regularly stirring. 
    • Add a 500g portion to a microwave safe dish, covering and heating for 5-7 minutes.
    • Heat in the oven for approx 20-25 minutes per 500g at 180° C.

    Risotto

    • Add the risotto to the other ingredients (warmed already) you wish to add to your recipe and stir on a low heat for 5 minutes.
    • Place 500g into a closed container in the microwave for 4 minutes. Stir and then heat for a further 2-3 minutes.
  • 4. What packaging size do the products come in?

    Ready meal dishes come in 1kg (with 5 in a box) or 2.5kg bags (with 2 in a box).


    Pasta portions are available as 200g (with 25 in a box) or 300g packs (with 15 in a box).


    Rice portions come in 200g portion pack (with 25 in a box).
